Script

With the help of FilmSchoolOnline's script format lesson I expanded the plot outline into a spec script. I'll extend it into a shooting script and a comic script once I've had feedback on the spec script.

Chances made:

I've decided to use the term "Scucca" instead of "Shucks" as that is what the character of the Devil would refer to them as.

I added in the 3rd choice scenario.

EXT. CITY STREET - NIGHT

It is cloudy and the moon is in its last quarter. Tobias, in his dog form, walks along a quiet city street. Ahead Tobias can see two women walking together, one is Jasmine with blonde hair and the other is Amber with brunette hair. The girls bid farewell to each other and take separate paths at an intersection. Jasmine takes a path leading down a poorly lit street and Amber takes the path across an overpass and onto a well lit but still quiet street. Everything becomes red.

BACK TO CITY STREET - FIRST OPTION

Tobias follows Jasmine down most of the long street until everything becomes red again for a brief moment. Chains appear and Tobias is bound by them before being pulled into his own shadow on the ground. Flames blaze all around Tobias and the chains pull tight. A hand points to Tobias.

THE DEVIL
(Ominous)
You have failed to protect your charge. Suffer now her pain and let her death forever weigh apon you.

Amber screams.

BACK TO CITY STREET - SECOND OPTION

Tobias follows Amber for a short while until a man appears and walks in her direction. Everything glows a dim red again and Tobias stops, studying the man. As the man walks past Amber, he nods with a smile and she returns it. A few paces after, he stops and calls back to her. Amber turns to him.

This man could harm the woman. What action will you take?
Wait to see how the man shall move and attack for a chance to go unnoticed by the woman.
Attack the man before he harms the woman and risk being seen by her.

BACK TO CITY STREET - SECOND OPTION

With red eyes,Tobias leaps up at the man, slashing at him and knocking him to the ground. The man tries to fight Tobias off but is unable to. Amber takes a small step forward but stops abruptly at the sight of the Tobias' red eyes. Tobias pins the man to the ground and bites at his neck, ripping at his throat. As the man dies, chains emerge from Tobias and wrap around the man tightly. His body slowly disappears into Tobias' shadow. Amber does nothing for that moment but soon starts to run away. Tobias watches as Amber runs but does nothing to stop her. The Devil laughs maliciously.

THE DEVIL
(mockingly)
Well done, Scucca. Indeed this man is a sinner and a soul bound for hell. However, tonight is not his time time join me and I still await another soul. You better hurry.

Tobias' eyes become red again and he chases after the woman.

10 MINUTES LATER

Amber arrives at a house. Panting and in a panic she takes keys from her bag and opens the front door. Entering the home, she quickly locks the door behind her. Tobias reaches Amber's home but cannot enter. His eyes glow a brighter red as he pounds at the door with his body. Amber screams and chains appear, binding Tobias before he is pulled into his own shadow on the ground. Flames blaze all around Tobias and the chains pull tight. A hand points to Tobias.

THE DEVIL
(Ominous)

Tobias watches the man, preparing himself to attack t any moment. Amber looks at the man curiously as he hands her a piece of paper. She smiles and points in a direction from where she came. As she does, she notices Tobias. The man nods at Amber and the continue on their separate ways. Tobias' eyes are still red and he continues to follow Amber.

10 MINUTES LATER

Amber arrives at her front door. She takes out her keys and opens the door. It is dark inside. Everything is a vibrant red.

GAME SCREEN

GAME NARRATIVE
This woman is still in danger. If the door closes you will not be able to enter. What will you do?
Attempt to sneak into the house before the door shuts.
Bark at the woman to get her attention.

EXT. FRONT OF AMBER'S HOUSE - FIRST OPTION

Tobias waits for Amber to enter her house. As soon as she does, Tobias attempts to rush in but the door shuts before he is able to. His eyes glow a brighter red as he pounds at the door with his body. Amber screams and chains appear, binding Tobias before he is pulled into his own shadow on the ground. Flames blaze all around Tobias and the chains pull tight. A hand points to Tobias.

This woman is still in danger. If the door closes you will not be able to enter. What will you do?

Tobias barks at Amber just as she enters her home. Amber turns to look at him and appears confused. She looks slightly alarmed but turns away as a light is turned on behind her.

INT. AMBER'S HALLWAY

A man appears with a stern look on his face. Amber smiles at him for a moment but is soon alarmed again. Holding a large knife, the man grabs Amber and attempts to attack her.

BACK TO THE FRONT OF AMBER'S HOUSE

Tobias snarls and leaps into Amber's house.

BACK TO AMBER'S HALLWAY

Tobias slashes at the arm of the man which is holding Amber and bites at the arm holding the knife. Amber trembles as she timidly steps away from the scene, hands clutched to her body. She trips on the threshold of her doorway and stumbles back, falling outside and landing on her back. The man tries to fight Tobias off but is unable to. Tobias bites at the mans neck, ripping at his throat. As the man dies, chains emerge from Tobias and wrap around the man tightly. His body slowly disappears into Tobias' shadow.

BACK TO THE FRONT OF AMBER'S HOUSE

Amber does nothing as Tobias looks back at her, his eyes no longer red. Amber sits rigid where she fell, holding her breath and wide eyed as Tobias eventually walks past her. Before he reaches the end of her pathway, Amber shifts to look back at him.

AMBER
(weak whisper)
Thank you.

Tobias stares at her for a moment before leaving her yard.

Note: "Apon" is used on purpose instead of "Upon" due to age of The Devil. However, I'm attempting to develop a way so that there is no text aside from the option screens.
